Tura, Sept 2: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said Tuesday that Meghalaya’s flagship soft-skills programme, SPARK, has now reached more than 20,000 students since its 2024 launch, as he addressed the District Talent Event 2026 in Tura.

SPARK — School Programmes in Articulation, Resilience and Kindness — is a state initiative aimed at building skills like communication, teamwork and resilience that the chief minister said don’t show up on report cards but shape how far a student goes in life.
