Skills beyond academics crucial to shape future of youths: CM
SHILLONG, Sep 3: Emphasising that qualities such as confidence, communication and problem-solving do not show up on mark sheets but shape a young person’s future, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday underlined the importance of sustaining SPARK as a long-term investment in Meghalaya’s youths.
Sangma said this while addressing students, teachers, school leaders and parents at the SPARK District Talent Event 2026 in Tura, where he reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to sustaining SPARK as a long-term programme focused on the confidence, communication, resilience and problem-solving abilities of the Meghalaya’s young people.
